Webcam 9 spent the summer of 2007 mounted high on the Wizard gold plant. Here are a few of the pictures from the 2007 placer mining season.
The plant needs to be put together for the season.
First the "Miner's Moss" is put into the sluicebox.
Next the grates (riffles) are laid into the sluicebox runs.
Wooden wedges are pounded in to hold the grates in place.
The freshly assembled three-run sluicebox is now ready to go.
The pump is fired up and water starts to flow through the gold plant.

Raw ore is dug out of the ore pit to feed into the plant.
The ore is dumped into the box at the high point of the gold plant.
After passing over the top nugget catch, the slurry works its way into the trommel.
The trommel spins and larger rocks are ejected, the slurry travels to the lower sluicebox.
After shutdown, any material remaining in the sluiceboxes is removed for further processing.
The Plant Cam is installed at the highest point of the gold plant promising a spectacular view!
