Winter 2011:  The bird cam is running again this winter from Watson Lake, Yukon.  Note this camera has no audio capabilities - but there is audio added into the Ravencam archive from last winter.  The shortest day of the year is coming soon - north of 60, this means a lot of darkness with only about a half-dozen hours of light each day.

Summer 2011:  The live cam has been moved back to the Holloway Bar Placer Mine and is now operational during the summer mining activities!  Later this year - we'll be testing a live "excavator cam" to give you an equipment operator's view of the gold mining.

Winter 2010:  Please be patient when accessing the live stream - it can take up to several minutes before you see a picture.  When you access this page, the streaming video server connects to one of our Holloway Bar computers on site and requests that the stream be started.  As this is all happening with a satellite Internet connection, there can be a slight delay before the video starts streaming.  If the stream is not operational when you connect, you'll be shown a "stream offline" message after a couple of minutes.  If this happens, please try at another time.

The streaming technology is supplied by Camstreams.   Their service uses Windows Media 9 streaming technology so it works best with Windows computers.  More information on browser requirements can be found at their website.
